Dr Shalini Arunogiri MBBS(Hons) PhD FRANZCP (Cert. Addiction Psychiatry) MSc (Addiction Studies) MPsychiatry
Associate Professor Shalini Arunogiri is an addiction psychiatrist and clinician-researcher. Shalini's research and clinical interests focus on women with addiction, and on methamphetamine use disorder. She is Clinical Director of the Victorian Statewide Centre for Addiction and Mental Health at Turning Point, an Australian national addiction treatment service based in Melbourne, Victoria. She is Chair of the RANZCP Faculty of Addiction Psychiatry, board member and Training Officer for the International Society of Addiction Medicine, and NHMRC Emerging Leader Fellow at Monash University. She has over 55 peer reviewed publications and over $14M in research funding, following completion of her PhD in methamphetamine psychosis. She is also a passionate advocate for women in medicine and research, and mum to an energetic six-year old boy.
